The team was tasked to come up with solutions to help elevate the concept presented by OBOS for the Living Lab. A first of its kind apartment complex where common spaces are shared.
The target demographic was Gen Z, as team we completed market deep dives to highlight what the group was looking to see in a living complex of its type.

We used the market research of the target groups to develop a user journey map to highlight the challenges that might arise in various scenario exercise to see how we alleviate these pains.

In the end we found that there was a reconnection with nature in the target group. They were more health cautious, more interested in developing closer connections with others, and needed a lower barrier of entry to get involved to feel connected.
Because of this discovery, we leaned into the idea of connection with a serious of community events in regards of using the space to create hydroponic growth system to create a center hub within the walls of the Living Lab.

Building Excitement
To help bring people into the Living Lab we created an yearly almanac to give everyone an opportunity to look at various aspects of involvement from forecast of weather, astrology to give insights to different personalities, and a seasonal calendar.

Lower Barrier of Entry
To continue to lower the barrier of entry we included easy access to work collaboratively in the garden spaces by including access to the tools that are needed.
Overall
Through these experiments we tested our concepts in workshops with potential residents and we received high praise for taking these considerations in place. We found high levels of excitement to join the Living Lab experiment.
